According to Digitalspy,EastEnders is set to move to 9pm on BBC One, on Friday the 1st of June, This is due to the Jubilee celebrations apparently.

Prince Charles is presenting a Tribute to the Queen at 8pm.

No other episodes of Enders seem to be affected.

With a summer of Olympics, Euros etc, we should probably start getting used to ths type of thing.

I think that there has been a mistake somewhere.

He looks so airbrushed he looks like he is made of wax. It looks as if you put him beside a fire he would melt!

In all seriousness as wonderfull as the acting and storyline has been, I still cannot believe Phil really loves Shirley. He may believe he does but thanks to TPTB having him treat Shirley as the world's biggest doormat for so long I still find it hard to get my head around.

The acid test will be when a certain hot blonde returns to Walford.

As has been stated by others I think Shirley and Sharon will be a fascinating dynamic to watch.

What is Shirley finds out the truth about Heather? What if she knows about Phil's partial role in Dennis's death? What if she tells Sharon if she does know! They could even team up to destroy Phil forever!

I just cannot wait!

Apologies for the somewhat obscure first topic -especially as it concerns the enemy!- but does anyone know if the character Mr Papadopolous was intended as a nod to the never seen Mr Papagopolous (Coronation Street) bane of Leonard Swindley's life in the early 1960s? Or just a bizarre coincidence?

Have you ever wondered what could have been in EastEnders if certain characters had stayed on longer than they actually did?

Ie Lu Beale stayed for another 5 years and died in 1993 instead of 1988 and giving Grant Mitchell a few lessons in how to behave, and liking Phil more, and insulting the young Mandy Salter?

Or Lofty stayed on after 1988 and eventually married Michelle and they had a sprog or two and both emigrated in 1995.

Or if Angie stayed on after the spring of 1988 even if Den still "died" in 1989 and she romanced Pete Beale and they married and then later on Angie became good friends with Rosa DiMarco.

Or if Mary the punk stayed on and romanced Phil Mitchell.
